Interaction immunomodulatory for control of infectious diseases and noninfectious by activity of lectin Artin M
Keywords:
Lectin Artin M, KM , ImmunomodulationAbstract
The immune system has an array of molecules that orchestrate and regulate a variability of human body mechanisms. The interaction between immune responses and inflammatory processes will determine the evolution or cure of a disease. Thus there is a quest for science by understanding all the mechanisms that participate in the pathways of the immune system, as well as, a form of its manipulation. So will allow the propagation and actions that aimed at diagnosis, healing and understanding of disease courses. Some lectins have interesting biological activities, with emphasis on Lectin Artin M before call of KM+, it has an interaction with immune cell receptors. Thus the present study aimed to approach the works main associated with the Artin M Lectin. We hope to understand which are the main lines of research related to this subject, as well as your results. With this, allow a targeting to next approaches with this fabulous molecule. We used the database North-American Pubmed, Lilacs and Academic google in the period that includes the last fifteen years. Were utilized together the descriptor “Artin M” and “KM +”. We showed studies with parasites (Leishmania sp, Paracoccidioides, Neospora caninum and Toxoplasma gondii), fungus (Candida albicans), and repair processes (regeneration and cicatrization), in some different models. All results proved satisfactory where the lectin Artin M had a direct relation with immunomodulation. These data also indicate that studies with lectin Artim M should be extrapolated to other experimental models, because it may be find interesting mechanisms that may favor the control of various infectious and noninfectious diseases.
