A IMPORTÂNCIA DA ATENÇÃO FARMACEUTICA E DISTRIBUIÇÃO DE MEDICAMENTOS PARA A POPULAÇÃO NO COMBATE À COVID-19

Abstract

Introduction: The covid-19 virus generated a pandemic that affected the entire planet and the socio-economic planning scheme, due to its high transmissibility and lethality. Due to this, research has been developed for the pathological and transmissive understanding of the Sars- Cov-2 virus, also aiming at controlling its transmission directly or indirectly seeking to guide patients correctly in combating the pandemic. Being able to highlight the role of the pharmacist due to its extensive network of activity, often representing the first area of contact of the health of many people. Objectives: The present study aims to highlight the relevance of the valorization of the pharmaceutical professional in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: Scientific articles taken from platforms were used Lilacs (BIREME - Latin American Literature on Health Sciences); Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online); Medline (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online), and Google Scholar, using the words "pharmaceutical assistance", "covid-19", "coronavirus" and "antiviral" as descriptors. Conclusion: It is concluded that mitigating measures in the fight against the pandemic, such as social distancing and vaccination, have a positive effect on the control of covid, together with the use of the pharmaceutical professional in the action of combating the pandemic, which was of great importance for the directing and guidance of patients.
