Abstract

Currently the concern of individuals with aesthetics, body and health is increasing more and more, beauty is considered an important factor for personal self-esteem and even in the 21st century it is a standard demanded by society. In this context, the advances in aesthetic and professional procedures that are trained to meet this demand are increasing. The pharmacist is a professional who has a wide field of activity, including the area of aesthetic health. The professional must have a specialization in aesthetic health and in this way can act by performing consultations, prescriptions and various aesthetic procedures for the treatment of various disorders. The objective of this research is to understand the role of the pharmacist in the aesthetic area and describe the regulation of the esthetic pharmacist, and the procedures performed by him. This is a descriptive bibliographic survey, using scientific articles and works in Portuguese published in the last ten years. It is possible to verify through the literature that currently the pharmacist can work in the aesthetic area performing a variety of procedures, he is a trained professional, who may be working in this area that increasingly grows and attracts patients, each procedure must be defined together with the patient's need. Aesthetic care provides individuals with a visual and psychological well-being, as they feel fulfilled and harmonized with their own image.
