Medicine has undergone frequent advances and similarly the area of obstetrics has brought ultrasound techniques in the last decades, which guide invasive procedures like amniocentesis, cordocentes is and chorionic villus biopsy (BVC). These allow to collect the necessary samples to analyze, visualize, measure, monitor, and make able the aid for several existing fetal therapies. In this context, this research work has as main objective to bring reflections about fetal malformations through the services of diagnostic imaging, such as: amniocentesis, cordocentesis and biopsy of the chorionic villus. In order to meet the proposed objective, a search was carried out in the cited databases of articles published between January 2000 and March 2019. The results of the research resulted in 16 articles, which were read in full and presented the findings in the discussion of the research in order to achieve the objective of this article. It was observed that although the number of cases of fetal malformation is frequent, the literature is scarce regarding the prevalence of fetal malformations, which evidences the need for in-depth studies on this topic.
