Abstract

Introduction: Leukemia identified by an uncontrolled and abnormal proliferation of leukocyte cells in the bone marrow is considered one of the main cancers that affect the infant and young population in Brazil. Objective: To analyze the role of the physiotherapist on the treatment and quality of life of children with leukemia. Methodology: A literature review was carried out, based on scientific articles published between 2009 and 2019, on the PUBMED, VHL, Scielo and Google academic platforms. Results and Discussion: It was found that the physiotherapist plays a key role in the patient's treatment phase. Conclusion: It was observed that there are few studies that explore techniques and quality of life during treatment.
